Product Description
CorrVerter® is a fast drying, water-based one coat system rust converter (primer) that converts rusted surfaces to a hydrophobic passive layer and prevents further rusting thru the unique formulation of chelating agents and PVC resins. CorrVerter® does not contain tannic or phosphoric acids, provides long-term corrosion protection for poorly prepared substrates, and can be topcoated with solvent-based and water-based paints with no bleeding.
CorrVerter® recommended for application to rusty or poorly prepared steel surfaces where further corrosion protection is required and good surface preparation is difficult to achieve. CorrVerter® is formulated to penetrate rust, eliminate rust, penetrate to the bare metal, and stop further rusting. CorrVerter® is recommended for use on all ferrous metal surfaces as a rust converter/paint primer. The product can be used in situations where proper cleaning or sandblasting is difficult.
CorrVerter® offers engineers, owners, contractors, DOT’s, and other government agencies a convenient, low-labor option when performing repairs on heavily corroded rebar and other metal surfaces. For outdoor applications VpCI-386, VpCI-387 or VpCI-396 can be utilized. The combination of CorrVerter®r and VpCI-396 provides the best immersion coating for submersion in water, salt water, hydro carbons and high salinity water.

Application Instructions
It is recommended that any loose rust be removed with a wire brush and the rusty steel surface washed with high-pressure water to remove excess salt contamination before applying the product. Brush, roll, or spray CorrVerter® with no surface show-through at 3-5 mils (75-125 microns) wet film thickness. Brush application is preferred to ensure penetration into the rust. The coating can be applied to dry or damp surfaces. The converter can be used as is or may be diluted up to 10% with water. For badly corroded surfaces, a second coat of CorrVerter® should be applied within 20-30 minutes to ensure maximum protection. Allow to air dry 12-24 hours before applying topcoat or putting the coated components into the environment.

VpCI®-423 is a water-based gel that effectively removes rust and oxides from steel, iron, brass, and copper. When used as recommended, VpCI®-423 will not adversely affect most paints, plastics, wood, textiles, ceramics, or rubber. VpCI®-423 is formulated to cling on vertical and overhead surfaces for rust and oxide removal in difficult-to-reach spaces. VpCI®-423 contains flash corrosion inhibitors to prevent flash corrosion during the rust and oxide removal process. After rust removal, rinse the area thoroughly with water, then use Cortec® VpCI®-414 or similar alkaline cleaners to ensure a clean, corrosion free metal surface. VpCI®-423 is NSF (A3) registered, acceptable for use for indirect food contact. How to Use
To use the Bullfrog Rust Remover gel, just apply to metal surface and let the gel do the work. The gel consistency of Bull Frog Rust Remover allows it to stick to slightly angled or irregular surfaces. Wait 15 minutes for lightly rusted surfaces or up to 2 hours for more heavily rusted surfaces. After de-rusting is complete just rinse with water. Repeat process if rust remains. Provides flash rust protection.
